In-Person Sherpa Training — At Lucid HQ

Get your team job-ready, fast. This instructor-led, hands-on session at Lucid Bots’ Charlotte facility puts pilots on the sticks and walks them through everything from safety features to first-job planning. You’ll learn how to vet properties before you bid, plan safe takeoff/landing zones, spot obstacles early, and use Sherpa efficiently on day one.

Best for: New Sherpa owners, expanding crews, and safety managers who want consistent, standardized operations.

What You’ll Learn (Hands-On)

  • Flight Training & Safety Features – Live drills with Sherpa plus a walkthrough of key safety functions and best practices for starting cleaning operations confidently.

  • Full Drone Walkthrough – End-to-end component review and system settings so operators know what’s what and where.

  • Maintenance Plans & Tips – Daily/weekly routines, inspection points, and battery care (Tattu smart batteries + TA3200 charger, including storage mode).

  • Jobsite Planning & Pre-Bid Vetting – How to evaluate properties before bidding, determine if they’re a good fit for Sherpa, and set realistic scope.

  • Takeoff/Landing & Obstacle Assessment – Identify safe staging areas, hose paths, and potential problem spots to minimize risk and downtime.

  • Rig & Hose Management – Practical setup to keep water/chemical delivery smooth and avoid snags.

  • Flight Operations – Launch, positioning, approach angles, and efficient cleaning patterns for common building scenarios.

  • Manual-Mode (Failsafe) Recovery – Recognize loss of positioning, stabilize, and land safely.

  • Open Q&A – Dedicated time to answer your team’s questions about the drone and getting started.

  • Jobsite Setup – Safe jobsite setup and planning.
Built for Sherpa 1.5. Core concepts also apply to Sherpa 1.0; differences are noted where relevant.

Format & Schedule

  • 1 Day (typical) for 1–2 pilots

  • 2 Days (typical) for 3+ pilots with extended flight time and advanced drills

Group Size & Pricing

  • 1–2 pilots: $1,500 (1 day)

  • 3+ pilots: $2,500 (typically 2 days)

  • Each additional pilot: $250

Pricing covers training at our facility. Travel, lodging, and meals not included. (We will provide lunch and beverages day of the training)

Prerequisites & Requirements

  • Required: Completion of Sherpa Academy (online) before attending.

  • For U.S. operations: At least one attendee must hold FAA Part 107 (or local equivalent internationally).

  • PPE: Closed-toe footwear and weather appropriate clothing. (We provide hard hats, eye and ear protection, and reflective vests for the training day)

  • Basic familiarity with drones & flight rules is expected (No flight experience is needed.)
