Sherpa Academy is Lucid Bots’ official, self-paced online training that teaches the essentials of safe, effective Sherpa cleaning drone operations. Built from real-world field experience and customer feedback, the course gives operators the knowledge and tools to plan jobs, fly safely, keep the drone healthy, and deliver consistent cleaning results.

What You’ll Learn

• Safety & Airspace Fundamentals – Jobsite safety workflows, PPE considerations, and how to verify airspace/authorization for legal, compliant operations.

• System & Controller Basics – Sherpa feature overview and hands-on familiarity with the RC (controller).

• Preflight & Readiness – Step-by-step preflight checks to prevent avoidable issues on site.

• Battery & Charging – Best practices for Tattu smart batteries and the TA3200 charger, including storage, cleaning, and care.

• Rig & Hose Management – Practical setup tips to keep water/chemical delivery smooth and reduce snags and downtime.

• Flight Operations – Launching, positioning, approach angles, and efficient cleaning patterns for common building scenarios.

• Manual Mode (Failsafe) Recovery – How to recognize it, stabilize the aircraft, and land safely.

• Care & Maintenance – Daily/weekly checks and simple routines that keep Sherpa reliable in the field.

Built for Sherpa 1.0. Core concepts also apply to Sherpa 1.5; differences are noted where relevant.

Prerequisites & Notes

• Prerequisite for in-person training: All trainees must complete Sherpa Academy before attending on-site training if desired.

• Licensing (U.S.): FAA Part 107 is required for commercial drone operations; ensure at least one qualified pilot is present and able to take control in an emergency.

• Completion Certificate: Sherpa Academy provides a course completion certificate. It is not a professional license, but is required for anyone who is directly interacting with the Sherpa drone and for warranty claims.
